information from patients, as well as requests in terms of treatment policy and finances, and present them to the patients.

Support for Obtaining a Visa for Medical Stay

As a Medical stay Visa Guarantor, we help to issue the “Certificate from a Medical Institution About the Planned Medical Services and References from a Guarantor” required to obtain a visa for medical stay, and provide smooth travel support for patients visiting Japan to receive Japanese medical care.
(Contacting relevant government agencies, preventing illegal residence, preventing unpaid
medical expenses, confirming entry and departure from the country, understanding the patient’s treatment schedule, arrangement of interpreting for doctor’s visits, etc.)

What is a medical stay visa guarantor?

A guarantor is an institution registered by the government among those that serve as mediators between Japanese medical institutions and patients and coordinate patient’s residence in Japan until they return home, in order to help prevent absconding and unpaid medical expenses among foreigners entering the country on a medical stay visa.

*Patients that do not have a letter of guarantee from a registered guarantor will not be able to obtain a visa for medical stay.

Basic steps to medical treatment

2. Determine Eligibility

Determining of eligibility to enter a Japanese medical institution based on the patient’s requests and provided information.

3. Obtain Estimates

Obtain an estimate of medical costs from the medical institution the patient will enter.

4. Decide on a Medical Institution

Decide on the Japanese medical institution where the patient will be treated.

5. Money Transfer

Transfer of medical fees.

6. Visa Application

Visa for Medical Stay application process.

7. Reservation

Arrange and reserve a date of examination.

8. Arrival in Japan

Arrive in Japan for the examination.

9. Examination Day

Visit the hospital accompanied by a nurse.

10. Follow-up Services

Contact with the medical institution and follow-up after the patient returns home.
